SAS releases the coronavirus data visualization tracker powered by SAS Viya Analytics

SAS recently shared the official post of the COVID-19 tracker powered by SAS Viya. For those who do not know, SAS Viya is a “cloud-enabled, in-memory analytics engine that provides quick, accurate and reliable analytical insights. Elastic, scalable and fault-tolerant processing addresses the complex analytical challenges of today, while effortlessly scaling for the future.”

“In December 2019, a new respiratory disease was discovered in Wuhan, China. The illness is caused by a new type of coronavirus, known as “severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2,” or SARS-CoV-2. The illness that can result from this virus infection is called “coronavirus disease 2019,” or COVID-19. On March 11, 2020 — WHO declared the outbreak a global pandemic. This report uses SAS® Viya to visualize metrics and trends related to the COVID-19 pandemic.”
